Andrew Webb has been appointed as the lead for the Stockport Together health and social care transformation activity across the borough by the four partner organisations.

To enable Andrew to focus on this important agenda, he will be freed up from some of his current role as Director of People's Services at Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, to lead the Stockport Together work.

As part of his new role, Andrew will work with the Portfolio Office, and a number of senior provider clinicians from GPs, Stepping Hill Hospital and Pennine Care to implement the planned changes under Stockport Together.

As the lead of the Stockport Together team, he will oversee all of the activity, working with staff at the partner organisations to co-ordinate the changes across the four programmes: Planned Care, Urgent Care, Proactive Care and Prevention and Empowerment.

Speaking of his appointment, Andrew said: "The work planned under Stockport Together is vital for securing the future of health and social care across the borough, and I believe it's only right that the activity is given the appropriate leadership and support".

Steve Sewell, Portfolio Director for Stockport Together, said: "This appointment recognises the importance of this transformation amongst the partner organisations".
